ABOUT US

Hawkeye is a competent contractor, established in 2001. Lead by Ralph Lewis, general manager, who has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of pipeline construction, maintenance and operation.

We have experienced equipment operators, owned heavy equipment in various sizes, and the support equipment necessary to move and service the excavating function. Most of our work is on or near loaded gas lines. We know what it takes to complete a safe and efficient project.

Hawkeye is experienced in laying lines for water and gas service. We have plastic fusion welding equipment and have installed gas lines for Columbia Transmission Company at their compressor stations, and for the US Navy as well.

Hawkeye also has experience in concrete support construction. We have removed and installed supports for large gas transmission lines and equipment, both above and below ground.

Our main line of work is in the area of corrosion control and pipeline services. Hawkeye employs a NACE certified senior corrosion technologist, corrosion technician, internal corrosion technologist, and certified coating inspector. We have designed, built, and installed corrosion control facilities throughout the Mid-Alantic area. Hawkeye has also demonstrated abilities in the recoating of pipelines, inside and outside of compressor stations, even while they are fully loaded and in operation.

Our employees work under a strenuous safety program, specifically written for us. We have a drug and alcohol program mandated by the US Department of Transportation Pipeline Safety. In addition, we use the Veriforce operator qualification program to train and test our employees.

Hawkeye has worked for Columbia Gas Transmission Company, Dominion Transmission, Equitable Resources, Chesapeake Energy, Allegheny Power, the United States Navy, as well as other companies. We can provide specific references upon demand.
